Empowering Future-Ready Leaders

The Secondary Section at Lion M.P. Bhuta Sion Sarvajanik School serves students aged 11 to 16 years, offering a dynamic platform for academic excellence, skill development, and holistic growth. Affiliated with the SSC Board, this section integrates a well-rounded curriculum, innovative pedagogies, and enriching co-curricular programs to prepare students for the challenges of the modern world.

A Philosophy Rooted in Panchakosha

Our educational approach is deeply rooted in the Panchakosha philosophy, which nurtures the five layers of human development. Annamaya Kosha focuses on physical fitness through structured sports and yoga. Pranamaya Kosha includes mindfulness practices and stress management workshops. Manomaya Kosha emphasizes creative arts and personality development. Vijnanamaya Kosha prioritizes advanced academics, STEM education, and vocational training, while Anandamaya Kosha ensures joyful learning through cultural programs and music.

Comprehensive Curriculum and Skill Development

The curriculum offers core and elective subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Languages (English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Sanskrit). Skill-based learning is integrated with IT, robotics, and STEM disciplines, ensuring comprehensive academic excellence. Students benefit from hands-on experiences in the Google Future Classrooms (GFC), Computer Labs, and Robotics Labs, fostering innovation and inquiry. Programs on digital literacy and financial planning further equip students with life-essential skills.

Physical and Extracurricular Activities

Physical and extracurricular activities are integral to our educational model. Students participate in sports such as football, cricket, basketball, taekwondo, rifle shooting, archery, and chess, fostering teamwork and resilience. Outdoor camps and adventure activities build endurance and team spirit, while annual sports days and inter-school competitions offer platforms to showcase athletic talent. Creative and cultural pursuits include classical music and dance, art and drama, and participation in annual events such as fun fairs and cultural festivals, encouraging emotional expression and artistic growth.

Leadership and Team Building

Leadership and team-building skills are cultivated through programs like the Students’ Own Council (SOC), which provides governance opportunities and enhances collaboration among peers. Workshops on conflict resolution and leadership further prepare students for future roles.

Vocational Skills and Entrepreneurship

Vocational skills and entrepreneurship are core aspects of the curriculum, with training in robotics, digital marketing, and design thinking. Entrepreneurship workshops encourage innovation and business acumen. Study camps, industrial visits, and collaborative projects with industries offer practical insights and real-world learning opportunities. A dedicated counseling center addresses academic and emotional needs, while workshops on adolescent challenges and decision-making prepare students for future endeavors.

Experiential Learning and Government Initiatives

Experiential learning is emphasized through study camps, excursions, and participation in exhibitions. Students prepare for Drawing Grade Examinations, National Talent Search Examinations (NTS), Science Exhibitions, and Government Scholarship Examinations, gaining recognition and confidence at state and national levels. Collaborative projects and practical sessions enhance their academic and practical understanding. Students also participate in various talent search competitions, nurturing their potential across diverse domains.

Holistic Assessment and Parental Engagement

Assessment is comprehensive and includes written tests, project work, and oral presentations. Holistic progress cards reflect academic, emotional, and skill-based growth. Regular parent-teacher meetings ensure transparent communication, and workshops guide parents on supporting adolescent development.

Advanced Infrastructure and Community Engagement

Our Secondary Section stands out with its state-of-the-art infrastructure, including fully equipped science and robotics labs, GFC smart classrooms, and a dedicated counseling center. Students actively engage in community initiatives, such as cleanliness drives and social awareness campaigns.
